Cranks to be permanently fixed to the shafts according to the book. However I did not like it, because it would make painting and maintenance harder. So I decided to secure the cranks to the shafts by grub screws. I thought grub screws were strong enough to transfer the torque of this size of model.
The grub screw threads would be cut at the counter weight part of cranks. At first, I marked thread position.
本では、クランクは軸に接着固定なんですが、これは整備とか、塗装とかを考えるとどうしても避けたい。クランクはねじ止めとします。この程度の汽缶車で大したトルクも掛かるはずはなく、ねじ止めで充分だと思います。
固定ねじ穴はカウンターウエイトに開けることとし、穴位置を罫書きます。
