Chimney fixing ring was made. I took 25mm brass rod and drilled to 12mm and parted it off. The upper side of the ring had to cut to suit to the inner curve of the smoke box.

煙突を煙室に固定するためのリングを作りました。まずは25mmの真鍮棒に煙突と同径の穴を開け突っ切ります。このリングの上部は煙室内部のカーブに合わさなければならなので結構面倒です。

The material was fixed the mill vice and centred by dead centre.

フライスに輪切りにした材料を固定し、中心を出します。

上で開けたヤトイ固定ねじを利用して煙突固定ねじ穴の位置出し。

I made this fixture to cut he upper side of the ring.

上部のRを削るため、こんなヤトイを作りました。

The ring was fixed the fixture and the fixture was fixed to the chuck. The position of the ring was fine adjusted, so that the tool tip touched to the work at arrowed locations evenly.

旋盤のチャックにヤトイを固定し、二つの矢印の部分にバイトが同じように触れるようにヤトイを調整。

The R of the ring was cut in this way slowly with 200rpm.

こんな感じでRを削っていきます。旋盤の回転数は２００RPMくらい。

the finishing was decided checking to the work.

実際に煙室をあてがってみて、ちょうどいい感じのところで切削終了。

The chimney skirt and the ring would sandwich the smoke box.

このようにして、煙突を下側から固定します。
