I made details of the smoke box. Hinges of the door were made from 0.5mm brass sheet. The sheet was fixed to the mill table and fixing holes were drilled in even distances positioned by table dials. After drilling 3mm wide strips were cut out.

ダミーの煙室扉のディテイルを作ります。まずは、煙室扉のヒンジ。0.5mmの真鍮板にフライスで等間隔にリベット穴を開けてか幅3mmに切り出しました。

The hinges would be fixed as this.

上で作ったヒンジの帯板はこんな感じにつくわけです。

Hinge supports were made from 3mm square brass rod. Ends were rounded. The material was fixed to the jig with double sided tape.

ヒンジの軸受けは3mmの真鍮角線の角を丸め。ジグに両面テープで固定。

I made this fixture and parted off the supports.

このようなヤトイを作って固定し、旋盤で突っ切り。

Parted off faces were cleaned up.

突っ切ったものをひっくり返してヤトイに固定し端面を削ります。

And tapped with M1.4 tap.

M1.4のタップを立てます。

Hinge supports were fixed by M1.4 screws. The part with arrow was hinge pin made from 2mm and 3mm brass rods.

ヒンジ軸受けはM1.4のビスで固定。矢印は2mmと3mmの真鍮線を組み合わせて作ったヒンジピン。

All parts above were temporarily fixed and hinges were bent from work.

ヒンジの帯金は上の部品を仮組してピンの入る輪を現物合わせで、曲げて作ります。

Hinges were fixed by rivets.

ダミー煙室扉にヒンジ帯金をリベット止め。

Dummy hinges were finished.

出来上がったダミーヒンジ。

Darts were turned from 3mm brass in taper with M1.7 thread at one end. Other ends were turned to round shape held by fixture with M1.7 tap.

煙室扉締め付けハンドルは3mmの真鍮線をテーパーに削り、先にM1.7のねじを切って、突っ切り。M1.7ねじを利用してヤトイに付けて太いほうを適当に丸く削ります。

All those parts were silver soldered together.

これらの部品は銀ロウで固定しておきます。
