Since the boiler work was suspended. I started making of the butane gas burner system.

At first I had to get gas valve. What I found was cheep pencil torch (A$4.50 or so) sold in a $2 shop. It had a nice valve.

ボイラー工作はしばらくお休みなのでブタンガス・バーナー・システムを作ることにします。

まずはガス注入バルブの入手から。$2ショップで安いペンシルトーチ(A$4.50)を見つけたのでこれからとることにしました。

I made a special driver from unused screw driver and removed the valve. It looked OK.

手持ちの屑ドライバーを改造し、専用ドライバーを作りました。なんか使えそうだな。

Diameter of the valve thread was 4mm. I checked the pitch with a scale lope and found it was 0.5mm. Oh, it was just M4 fine pitch I had taps.

外径は4mm。ピッチをスケールルーペで確認すると0.5mm。おー、M4細目ではないか。

I turned the top cap of the tank and made M4 fine pitch tap and tried to install the valve. It perfectly fit.

ブタンガスタンクのトップキャップを挽き、M4細目タップを立てて、バルブをねじ込んでみました。ぴったりです。

タンクキャップの第一ステップ加工完了。左が上部用、右が下部用です。

Tank caps were chucked other way and recess was turned to get nice fit with tank barrel.

タンクキャップをひっくり返してチャックし、タンクバレルが嵌る段差を削ります。

The recess was turned by checking with the barrel. The barrel was 2” copper tube.

この段差はバレルにぴったり嵌らなければならないので現物合わせで慎重に削ります。なお、バレルは2"銅管。（ようは水道管）

Mounting thread was cut on bottom cap.

下部キャプの固定ネジを切ります。
