I installed radio control. The 2.4GHz 6ch transmitter and receiver were from Hobby King. They were amazingly cheep only about US$25. You need PC programming cable separately.

I also bought servos from Hobby King. This 9g servo costed only US$2.69. I tested it and found it was good enough. I experienced unstable cheep servos, but not in this case. The condition on live steam is harsh for servos concerning about heat, water, etc. and I do not expect long life. With this price the servos are expendable.

I did not like having servos visible in the cabin and decided to accommodate all servos under the foot plate. I milled out servo mount brackets from 10mm thick aluminium. They could be made by bending thin metal sheets, but I preferred milling out from thick material.

Servo mounting windows were cut.

Mounting taps were made.

I made two brackets in one piece to this stage and cut them apart. Miss alignment between holes and end mill cuts are observed here. I do not know why, but mounting of the vice was moved a bit. However these errors were not a problem.

Brackets were filed for finish.

Brackets and servos were mounted on the foot plate. The linkage holes were found too small and enlarged later.
