After I ground right hand tool, failed parting off and boring tools, the stone of the grinder was clogged. I made a diamond dresser holder. However this was unstable and did not work well. The problem was the distance between the guide cut out and lower part of the dresser.

I cooled the HSS bits with water when ground and applied them on the stone still the bits were wet. This caused the clogging. The water should be wiped out from the bits thoroughly after cooling. .

斜剣バイトと失敗した突っ切りバイト、中繰りバイトを削ったときグラインダーの目をだいぶ詰まらせてしまいました。ドレッサーを掛けるためにこのようなホルダーを作りました。これはダメでした。ドレッサーの下端とガイドの切り込み部分に距離があるため安定せず。

なお、上記バイトを削ったとき、水で冷やしたバイトを濡れたままグラインダーで削っていました。これが目詰まりを起こした原因のようです。バイトは冷却後よく水を拭き取りましょう。

I modified the dresser holder making the guide groove deeper to the lower side of the dresser. Really I hate dressing. It was terrible jog. Stone powers everywhere. I did this in the backyard since I did not want the machine tools covered with white ALOX powder.

ドレッサーホルダーはガイド溝とドレッサーの下端位置があように削りなおし。これで安定しました。しかし、グラインダーのドレッシングはやな仕事ですね。廻りじゅう砥石の粉だらけ。工作機械のあるガレージでやるわけにいかないので、バイトの削りも含め、外で行いました。

Grinding a bit using this jig. Getting collect angles were easy. Really this tool rest is nice to have.

この治具を使用して、バイトを削っているところです。素人でもきっちり正確な角度がきれいに削れます。威力絶大です。作ったかいがありました。

Paring off tool I made with this tool rest. Much better than failed my first attempt with free hand.

この治具で作った突っ切りバイトです。はじめにプリーハンドでやって失敗したものとは大違いです。

Threading tool. Very straight nice grinding obtained.

先丸剣バイト。

Boring tool. Only tip part was ground using the tool rest function. Other parts were free-hand ground.

中繰りバイト。この治具を使えるところは先端部分だけで、あとはすべてフリーハンドです。

I made all tools I may need for a while.

これでとりあえず必要と思われるバイトは揃いました。
