小海線のC56の最後の日が近づくと、沿線がカメラマンであふれかえるようになりました。もうカメラマンが入っていない写真を撮るのはほとんど不可能に。「どけー！」とか怒鳴りあうのはいやだし、私は開き直って汽缶車の写真を撮る人の写真を撮ることにしたのです。まあ、こんな状態で写真を撮り続けるのはあほらしくなり、鉄道写真をやめてしまったわけです。

When the last day of C56 operation in Koumi Line was getting closer, booming railway cameramen swarmed around the line. It was almost impossible to take any photos without having them in the camera frame. Really I was sick of shouting each other like, “Get out from my camera angle!” etc. and started taking photos of cameramen. This was the reason why I abandoned this hobby, railway photography.
