山口線の車庫です。後ろに見える不細工な凸型バッテリーロコが通常使われてたやつですね。

この人は機関士さんと思われます。なんでかって?革靴を履いているからです。

汽缶車も古けりゃ整備してる人も古かったのですね。この整備士さん渋いなー。

The loco was quite old and the maintenance engineer was also old.

西武だから運転士なんですね。でも、汽缶車を運転する人は機関士でなくちゃ。結構長い時期撮っていたので登場人物がかなり換わってます。石炭は運転室の床にもろ積み上げていたんですね。

The armband said “operator” not “engineer.” The line was operated by Seibe Railway, totally electrified commuter railway, and they might not have any position called engineer. Coal was simply piled up on the floor of cabin.

 

帽子も西武のものですね。
