学生だった、われわれは、駅の待合室に泊っていて夜になると人吉に晩飯とお風呂のために降りてきていました。そのついでに夜の写真をよく撮っていたわけです。と、言うことで今回の写真は人吉駅でとったもののはずです。

As poor students, we stayed in station waiting room and went down to Hitoyoshi for dinner and bath. So I took night photos in Hitoyoshi station while we were waiting for the train.

郵便車です。もう郵便車なんて存在しないでしょうね。

Railway post office. I think this sort of carriage disappeared years ago.

荷物車です。これももうとっくに廃止されちゃったみたいですね。

Luggage car. This sort of service also disappeared from JNR.

これは吉松みたいですね。客車のサボが人吉行きになってる。
