出発前から罐焚きさんは忙しいのです。

罐焚きさんは火床の点検。 The fireman checking the fire bed.

焚口から火床が見えます。まだ重油併燃は使ってないみたいですね。

The fire bed was seen through fire hole. The heavy oil burner was not used yet.

重油併燃を使うとこんな感じになります。 The heavy oil burner was in operation.

トンネルの中に入ると運転室に侵入した煙が焚口に吸い込まれていきます。罐焚さんは蒸気圧をいつも気にしたてチェックしていました。
