Operation of DD51 class was increased toward the last day of steam in Hisatsu Line. I really hated DD51 and found only this photo of them.

There were not so many railway photographers seen in Hisatsu Line before, but the number of them was rapidly increased toward the last day.

As the number of photographers increased the nuisance shouting like “Out of my site!!” , etc. was common around the stations.

One day in Okoba, TV crew of NHK (Nippon Housou Kyoukai, similar to ABC in Australia) appeared to take films of the line. They wanted something more dramatic and approached to small local primary school to make up farewell excursion for steam locos. I hard their plot of this in the waiting room of Okoba. Next day surprisingly all primary school kids and teachers appeared at the station and took a ride on the train for NHK crew. I wondered who payed the fare for school kids. This was a frame up, was not it? After seeing this I could not believe any TV programs. (I am not sure this camera man was NHK crew or not.)
