上目名の耐雪覆い。正式にはこれなんて言うんだろう？途中に踏切があり中を撮ることができました。

Snow cover near Kamimena Station. There were a road crossing at the mid of the cover and photos could be taken from there.

この雪の壁をを見ればこの地区の雪の深さがよくわかりますね。この雪の壁のせいでとても写真は取りにくかったわけでです。

You can see how deep the area buried in the snow. These snow walls hid the train and made taking photos harder.

倶知安駅遠景。倶知安が北海道旅行の時のベースになってました。倶知安町営のユースホステルに泊まって夕飯は「寛松」って店でジンギスカンを食うのがお約束になってました。「寛松」のジンギスカンうまかったなー。こんにゃくの細切りが付いてくるんですが、肉の後にはさっぱりしてよかったですね。

Distant view of Kucchan Station. Kucchan was a sort of base in Hokkaidou for us. We stayed at a youth hostel and used to have dinner at Mongolian BBQ restaurant in Kucchan town.

急行「ていね」と羊蹄山。

This is not “Mt. Fuji.” This mountain is called “Youteizan” or “Ezo Fuji.”

「ていね」の通過。蒸気だらけでよくわからんが、よく見るとタブレットをわたしているのが見えますね。

「ていね」快走。勾配にかかる前の平地なのでC62重連は飛ばします。まあこれは本務機に闇添して撮ったんですね。30年以上前のことだし、もう時効でしょう。
