当時でもキハ07は十分珍車の部類だったと思います。これは宮原線のものと思われる戦前型ですね。下のは木次線の戦後型。

Kiha07 was a JNR railcar made from 1934. This photo's one was originally equipped by petrol engine and mechanical transmission. Later the engine was replaced with diesel, but mechanical transmission was kept until its last day. Even late 1960's this type was quite rare and served in only two local lines.

This one was a post WWII model. Note the headlight that was different from pre-WWII model. This was equipped with torque converter and could be used with other standard JNR railcars.
