Construction of track beds of yard was finished about two months ago.

ヤード部分の路盤は完成した。ここで二ヶ月ほど作業をしていなかったのだが、、、、

I found some track bed supports dropped. I guess shrinking of the timbers caused this. Tightening must be checked after installation.

ふと路盤を見ると路盤支えが緩んで落ちているではないか。どうも、木材が枯れて緩んでしまったようだ。ほとんどの支えが緩んでいた。設置後、しばらくしたら増し締めを剃る必要がある。

I started installing tracks to the track beds. The tracks are fixed to the beds lightly by woodscrews. Three woodscrews seemed enough to fix this point.

いよいよ線路の設置に入る。線路は木ねじで軽く路盤に固定することにした。このポイントで3箇所止めれば充分なようだ。

I used countersink woodscrews because their low visibility. However the cider sleepers easily split by tightening. Just very light tightening would be enough for this purpose.

目立たないように皿木ねじで固定したが、枕木の杉が柔らかく締めすぎるとすぐ割れてしまう。動かなければいいので軽く固定すれば充分だ。

I mad this jig to spike tracks. This can keep the sleepers in equal distances.

軌框を作るためにこのようなジグを作った。これに枕木を均等に並べる。

Spiking the track.

後はひたすらスパイク。

Spiked track was installed.

出来上がった軌框をポイント間に設置してみた。
