I wanted to use phosphor bronze for spring material, but it was difficult to source in Australia. So I had to use piano wire. However it is getting harder to buy thin piano wires here. The piano wires I bought from a hobby shop were the last ones in the shop. I looked around hobby shops nearby and found 0.5mm piano wires sold A$6.50/m! Unbelievable price! So I asked one of my relatives to send 0.6mm phosphor bronze wire from Japan. The cost was much cheaper including postage.
I remade the springs from phosphor bronze wire with the same conditions of piano wire springs.
