I employed model-like structure for the blade rail hinge rather than copying real point structure to secure the function under severe conditions. I soldered a plate from 1.6mm copper to the wing rails. Obviously brass is better for this purpose, but I had plenty of copper sheet left over from the boiler making. I used flux for plumber. It is easier to use than liquid flux.
ポイントのヒンジ部分は屋外での確実な動作最優先で、実物的ではなく模型的な方法を採用することにした。ウイングレールに1.6mmも銅板で作ったヒンジ板をジグに仮止めし、バーナーでハンダ付け。当然真鍮の方がいいんだが、ERICのボイラーを作ったときに買った銅板が大量にあるので使うことにした。フラックスは配管用のペースト状のものを使用。液状のものよりたれなくて良い。これは十年くらい前に買ったもので表面は乾いて硬くなっていたが皮を除けば使用できた。
