It is almost impossible to make a thin and deep hole in a cast resin by silicone mould. So I tried to make a deep hole by using brass rod core. Simply make a core from brass rod with the same diameter as the hole.

車輪の軸穴のように細長くて深い穴はシリコン型ではうまく作れません。そこで、真鍮線で置き換える事を考えまた。マスターの穴にぴったり合う真鍮線で中子を作ります。

I made silicone moulds with above master and core. When cast the resin, insert the core to the mould. I rubbed the core with old clay to make separation easier.

このマスターでシリコン型を作り、注型するときに真鍮線の中子をシリコン型に挿しておきます。なお中子には油粘土を擦り付けて固まった後で抜きやすいようにしています。

The resin cured as this. The core can be removed by twisting by a pair of pliers.

このような状態で固まります。あとはペンチで中子を引き抜けばOKです。
