Cutting resin is easy. Warm the resin parts by a hairdryer and cut them by scissors.

Bonding tiles was quite slow process.

All flat parts were covered by resin tiles. I was quite sick of this job. I used about 400g of resin. I used up resin on hand and got new one. So different colours are seen on resin tiles.

The silicone moulds were quite worn and about the end of their life.

Next step was making caps. I looked around the net and got some information. The structure of traditional caps is like this. Seems quite complicated.

At first I made “Noshi Kawara.” They have some curvature. So I wrapped 1mm styrene sheet with joint scratch around a cylinder. This case I used an aluminium case of CA. Pore boiling water to the cylinder.

After cooling it down, nice curvature obtained.

Cut and shape it to make three masters of “Noshi Kawara.”

“Kanmuri Kawara” was made from 8mm styrene pipe with 2mm half round styrene rod.
