Next thing had to be made was pug-ugly tile. There are various types of pug-ugly tiles from simple to very complicated. Anyway it was not practical for me to make a complicated tile. So I chose one as left and simplified it a bit. 最後に作らなければならないものは鬼瓦なんですが、いろんな種類があるみたいですねー。あまり単純でもつまらんし、複雑なのは作れるわけないのでほどほどの左のようなものを少し単純化したにします。 |

At first I made a base shape as left with oven-bake clay and filed it down to the shape as right. まず、オーブン粘土で左のようなものを作り、右のようになるまで削りました。 |

It was impossible for me to make all patterns at once. So I made them step by step. 全部一度に作れるわけないので部分的に少しづつ作っていきます。オーブン粘土のいいところですね。 |

Finished pug-ugly master was polished with steel-wool to round down edges. スチールウールで磨いて、全体に丸みを与え完成としました |

Master of corner caps were made from 5mm styrene tube and rod. 隅瓦のマスターは5mmのスチロールパイプと5mmのスチロール棒で作りました。 |

Mass produces “Noshi-Kawara” and cap tiles. 量産したのし瓦と冠瓦。 |
