Making of double-roof did not seem easy. I decided to make it from pieces of MDF. I cut materials by band saw.

ダブルルーフをどう作るかもかなり悩ましい。MDFを組み合わせて作ることにした。まずはバンドソーで材料をガンガン切りだす。

I shaped them by a plane and sandpaper. I carefully made up right angles of the materials. Otherwise they would not be assembled properly.

それを鉋で仕上げる。木端の直角を出しておかないと後でちゃんと組み立てられない。

Centre part of the double-roof was made from 12mm and 16mm of MDF.

屋根の真ん中の部分（12mm）の両端に16mmのMDFを追加。

6mm MDF sheets were glued to above part to form sides.

上記の両側に6mmMDFを貼りつけて箱型にする。

I sanded down the ends by disk sander to keep good ight angles.

できた箱の両端をディスクサンダーで削って規定の長さに合わせる。手で削ったのでは直角がなかなかでないが機械を使えば簡単だ。

Box shaped centre parts was made.

こんな箱ができた。

It was roughly cut by band saw.

両端のカーブをバンドソーで粗取り。バンドソーの安全ガードは邪魔くさいので外してしまった。

The curves of ends were sanded by belt sander.

両端のカーブもベルトサンダーで削ればあっという間に出来る。削り過ぎ注意。

The centre part of the double-roof was finished.

ここまででこんなのが出来たわけだ。
