I wanted to make sheet cushions from 5mm styrene foam board without paper backing. However I could not find such a material in Australia. So I soaked paper-backed styrene board in water and pealed out the paper.

To simulate waterproof cloth of the roof, I covered the roof with thick Japanese paper (shoujigami) with diluted Titebond.

The sides of the double roof were installed with styrene strip. To bond the Japanese paper water-base adhesive had to be used to stretch the paper while applying. However Titebond did not stick to the styrene at all and some intermediate bonding agent was necessary. I tested around adhesives on my hand and found this adhesive stack well to the styrene and had good compatibility with Titebond.

Centre part of the double roof was covered. Waterproof cloth of the prototype is fixed by nails to the roof. I had no idea how to make the mail heads easily and gave it up.
