I mass-produced couplers for two carriages. Coupler bars are made from 3X3mm square brass rods.

Return springs made from 0.4mm phosphor bronze sheet were soldered to the bars.

I made links from annealed 1.2mm brass wire with a jig.

リンクはこのようなジグを作って焼なました1.2mmの真鍮線を曲げる。

I silver soldered the links. I used to use LGB couplers and pin link couplers were only dummy. However I think LGB couplers are really ugly.

継ぎ目は銀ロウ付けした。これで実物と同様に機能する朝顔型連結器になった。以前は朝顔カプラーをダミーとし、LGBカプラーを使っていたが、LGBのはなんともかっこ悪い。

For live steam operation automatic coupling and uncoupling are not a matter. These pin link couplers function as the same way as prototype and quite adequate for the purpose even tweezers are required to couple them.

ライブスティームの場合自動開放とか考える必要がないので充分実用的である。ピンセットは必要だが連結は思ったより面倒ではない。
