I applied Sculpey Glaze. Then sprayed Tamiya Colour Flat Flesh as primer. Sculpey Glazeを塗った後、タミヤカラーの肌色を吹いて下塗りとします。 |

In this case I used “LIQUITEX GOUACHE” instead of oil paint. Now it is very hot in Sydney and I cannot work my workshop without air conditioner. So worked in riving room, but oil paint was not so good work with in living room. It smells. So I tried water-based acrylic. I think oil paint is an ideal paint for figure painting, but smelly and very slow in drying. Figures were applied base colours.今回はリキテックスガッシュと言うのを使ってみました。今シドニーはやたら暑くて、エアコンの無い工作室で作業する気になれない。エアコンの効いたリビングでしたいんですが、油絵の具はいろいろ臭うのでちょっとリビングではできませんね。で、水性にトライ。油絵の具は人形には理想的な塗料なんですが、乾燥にやたら時間がかかるのと臭いのが欠点ですね。まあどんな感じに仕上がるか？ 一応すべてのベース色を塗ったところです。 |

I applied wash and dry-brush, and added some details like eyes. I simplified eye and face details, but they are not seen up close usually in garden railways. I feel “ LIQUITEX GOUACHE” is quite good as water base paint. It spreads very well as oil paint. Washing is also acceptable, but dry brushing is much harder than oil paint because it dries up too quickly. I did not use “blending” technique in this case, but feel “blending” is almost impossible with water base acrylic. I think “ LIQUITEX GOUACHE” reasonably good for figures without so much detail. Matte finish of “ LIQUITEX GOUACHE” is very nice for figures. ウォッシュとドライブラシを入れ、目とかデテイルも入れました。めんどくさいんで目は漫画チックになってます。庭園鉄道用の人形など近くで見る事はまず無いのであまり凝ってもしょうがありません。 リキテックスガッシュの使い心地は水性としては非常にいいと思います。良く伸びます。ウォッシュは濃さの調整が良ければ結構使えます。ドライブラシは乾燥が速いので、油絵の具には全く及びません。今回は手抜きで全く使いませんでしたけど、ブレンドは無理でしょうね。手抜きでほどほどに塗るには使えると思います。仕上がりがほぼ完全な艶消しと言うのも良いですね。 |

Lace tablecloth s were home made decals. I look around web and found some photo of lace. Then processed the photos and printed as decals. I painted four figures in two days. It was very quick comparing to oil paint. I think it would take 10 days with oil including waiting time for drying. レースのテーブルクロスはデカールで作りました。ネット見つけた、レースの写真を画像処理したものです。 てれてれやって2日で塗装できました。早いです。油絵の具だと乾燥待ちで10日ぐらいかかると思います。 |
