Add trousers to baked figure. I used "Sculpy III" left over from former project as the first layer of this figure.

焼きあがった物にズボンを履かせる。なお、この人形の最初の粘土は余っていたSculpyIIIを使用したので色が違う。

I wanted to make him bit fat. So I added crumpled foil to his belly to save expensive clay.

この人形は少し太っていることにするので腹にフォイルを丸めたものを入れた。粘土は高いので、できるだけ節約する。

The belly may be still too small. Add wrinkles to the trousers referring to photos. "Sculpy III" is not strong. The right arm was already broken. I cut out the armatures at the wrist because I will add hands separately made. Bake the figure.

少しお腹が出っ張った。まだ少し足らなかったかもしれない。実物、写真を見ながらズボンの皺を入れる。ScuplyIIIは弱い。もうこの時点で右腕が折れている。手は別に作って植えこむので余分な芯は切り取った。このあと焼く。

Jackets were made. It is better to bake many times step by step. If you form too much you may deform the already formed parts.

上着を着せる。少し作っては焼いていったほうがいい。一度に工程を進めすぎるとせっかく整形したところに触って崩してしまったりろくなことがない。

Broken arms were fixed with "Liquid Scuply". Collars were also added.

折れた腕をLiquid Sculpyで補修。上着のえりも後付である。

Jacket sleeves were made.

上着の袖を作る。

Separately made hands were planted as explained in former article. The position of left arm was not good and to be be adjusted.

手は別に作ったものを埋め込む。以前に紹介した方法だ。腕の位置も良くなかったので修正する。

The arm was repositioned with a help of a piece of copper wire and "Liquid Sculy".

銅線をLiquid Sculpyを付けて植え込み焼けばくっ付く。

Face was constructed. Face of Japanese is much flatter than Caucasians. I was careful not making them sculptured. I added ears, then baked him.

顔を作る。日本人は平たい顔族であるのでメリハリを付けないほうがいい。このあと耳をつけて焼いた。

The hair was formed and combed by a brush made from electric wire. The scuffing of the hair was removed by brushing with isopropyl alcohol. Actually I brush the figures with alcohol before baking to smooth out the surface.

髪の毛を作る。造形後、金属ブラシで引っ掻いて髪目をつける。このあとイソプロピル・アルコールを筆につけて拭い毛羽立ちを除去する。焼く前にはほぼ毎回イソプロピル・アルコールで拭っている。

One figure finished. The angle of the shoes is bit wrong, but he will be place in the carriage and his shoes are not so visible. I am supposing him as a railway photographer about 40 years ago and have him to hold a camera in his right hand.

とりあえず一体出来上がった。靴な角度がおかしいが室内であまり見えないはずなのでよしとする。右手にはカメラを持たせる予定。要は40年ほど前の鉄チャンのつもりなのだ。
