Then I applied dry-brush. Obviously I used oil paint. I used dedicated dry-brush brush. This one is quite nice.

このあとドライブラシを行うが当然油絵具を使用。筆は熊野筆のドライブラシ用を使用した。これは使いやすいとおもう。

Dry-brushed. The result is not very satisfactory overall, but I have to make a compromise. Otherwise I cannot keep making figures.

ドライブラシ完了。とても満足の行く出来ではないが私としてはこれが限界。

I painted the cameras with silver Tamiya acrylic.

カメラにはまず銀色をボディーに塗る。

Then I painted black parts with slightly diluted oil paint. Of course I used Winsor & Newton Series 7.

これに黒の部分を塗り分けていく。少し薄めた油絵具を使用。筆はもちろんWinsor & NewtonのSeries 7。

I used 3mm styrene rod as a fixture and put the cameras on the lathe chuck. By rotating the lathe at the lowest speed, I painted the lens parts.

フード部分が3mmのスチロール棒に良い感じではまったので、鏡胴はこのようにして旋盤を最低回転数で回して行った。

Painted cameras. They look nice.

塗り上がったカメラ群。結構もっともらしい。

Painted gadget bags.

ガジェット・バッグの塗装完了。

Straps for cameras and gadget bags were cut out from 0.13mm styrene sheet and airbrushed with black.

I notice later this strip was very brittle and changed the material to copy paper.

カメラとガジェット・バッグのストラップは0.13mmのスチロールシートから帯を切り出し塗装しておく。

失敗）
実は後でわかったんだがこのスチロールシートは細く切るとすぐに折れてしまう。コピー用紙のほうがずっといい。

A camera mounted on a figure. Looks nice!

人形に取り付ける。もっともらしいではないか。

A gadget bag and a camera with long telephoto lens were attached. The heavily armed railway photographer figure was completed. The web master used to take photos with this kind of equipment.

さらにガジェット・バッグ、望遠付きカメラを取り付けて、重装備鉄ちゃん完成。管理人はこんな装備で写真を撮っていたのである。
