Earlier colour scheme of the prototype seems a sort of maroon common in old Japanese carriages. Such a colouring may not be so brilliant in the garden railway environment. So I decided to apply late colour scheme two-tones, cream and reddish orange that quite common among Japanese narrow gauge carriages in late days. However this created a nightmare of masking. The masking job around the doors seems quite hard. I masked with thin strip of masking tape and masking sol.

車体の塗色はオリジナルの葡萄色にするか後期のクリーム、オレンジ（多分）の塗りわけにするか迷ったんですが、庭で走らせるには葡萄色ではあまり映えないのではないかと思い、塗りわけとしました。それに私が実際に見た軽便の車両には年代的に葡萄色はありません。どうしても軽便のこの手の車両は塗りわけの方がしっくりします。これがマスキング地獄を招来することになりました。ドアのところのマスキングはどうすればいいか悩んじゃいますね。細切りマスキングテープとマスキングゾルの組み合わせですることにしました。

I made headlight lenses while waiting for paint drying. I shaped an end of a wooden rod as headlight lens and filled the grain by putty. Fix it to the vice and push a piece of transparent plastic sheet softened by candle flame.

乾燥まちの間に前照灯のレンズを作ります。木の棒の端面をレンズの形に削って、パテで平滑にします。それにろうそくの炎でやわらかくした透明プラスティック板を押し付け整形します。いいものを選ぶためたくさん作りました。
