Carriage No.4's painting is finished by spraying satin clear paint. Glazing and interior yet to be done.

半艶クリアを吹いて、四号客車は一応見られるようになりました。あとはガラス入れと内装が残っています。

Other carriages are painted in two colours as “Gasoline Car”. Masking around the doors is a cumbersome business. I use sliced masking tape and masking sol. It is easier to apply masking tape small part by part.

他の客車の塗りわけに入ります。ドア周りのマスキングはいつも頭痛の種です。細切りマスキングテープでできるだけマスキングしてから、やりにくいところはマスキングゾルで行います。一度に全部貼らず部分的に貼って言ったほうがうまくいくようです。

Finished roofs with ventilators. I painted ventilators in two colours, mix of silver and light grey and German grey. I used rubber type masking sol this time. It is much easier to remove than PVA type sol. The masking sol invades well into gaps between the model and masking tape and seals the gaps (at the arrows).

今回はモデラーズのものを使用。前回使ったグンゼの物より剥がすのがはるかに楽です。流動性が高いのでマスキングテープの隙間にしみこんで、隙間をうまく塞いでくれます（矢印）。

Upper half is masked out. I pushed foam rubber in the door gaps to prevent the invasion of the paint.

ドアの隙間から塗料の霧が侵入するのを防ぐため今回はスポンジを隙間に入れて見ました。一応うまくいったみたいです。下半分塗装用のマスキング完了。

Lower half is painted with reddish orange. Masking worked quite well and no repair work is required.

下半分を赤っぽいオレンジ色に塗装。滲み、マスク漏れもなくうまくいきました。

Bloody hell!!! I had a terrible disaster while painting lower half of carriage no.3. The rid of the paint cup of the airbrush came out spilling the paint over the model.

参号客車を塗装中に大惨事が！エアブラシのカップの蓋が外れて中の塗料がかかってしまった(゜□゜;)。マスキングを剥がし、かなりの部分の上半分も塗装しなおしに。エアブラシの蓋はしっかり閉めましょう。
