Leaf spring unit should accept a brace and a groove had to be made. I cut the groove by a file according to the manual, but it was a very hard work. So from the second one I cut the groove by the mill.

板バネ部品には筋交い材が入る溝を掘らなければならないんだが、最初マニュアル通りにヤスリで削った。これはえらく大変であった。二回目からはフライスで削ることにした。

I found four dummy springs were missing, and had to make them from 1mm enamel wire. New ones seem much better than original.

バネ部品の数が足らないことが判明した。1mmのエナメル線を巻いて作ってしまった。こっちのほうがずっといい。

Dummy springs from enamel wire were fixed. I applied pins to prevent missing them.

エナメル線製のバネを固定する。外れにくくするため、ピンを刺しておいた。

Mostly finished truck. The original parts with arrow did not have enough length.

ほぼ出来上がった台車部分。矢印部分の部品は長さが足りなかった。

So I made them from styrene strip.

そこでスチロール板で作りなおした。

By adding guards the truck was finished. I make driving mechanism and control electronics around this. After finishing driving mechanism I will move to the upper structure.

排障器をつければ足廻り完成。これをもとに駆動メカ、制御回路などを作っていくことにする。駆動メカ付きの足廻りが完成してから上廻りを作る。
