I assembled the compressor. It was to be consisted of six metal parts. However the assembly was not like a Tamiya kit. Lot of correction was required.

床下のコンプレッサーを作って見ることにした。金属パーツを６個組み合わせればできるんだが、タミヤのモデルのようには行かない。かなりの修正が必要であった。

Let's see the mounting bracket of the compressor in the manual. The ways of attaching the mounting legs are totally different in two photos.

コンプレッサー取付台であるが、説明書の左の写真と右のでは取り付け足の向きが全く違うじゃん。なんといういい加減さ。

The material for the legs was 0.3mm brass strip, but it was so brittle. It was easily broken apart when bent. I had to anneal the parts to bend.

キットに入っていた取り付け足の材料は0.3ｍｍくらいの真鍮帯板なんだがえらく脆い。曲げると一発で折れてしまう。曲げる箇所を焼き鈍して曲げた。

Bent legs. I wondered they are too thin and week.

曲げ終わった取り付け足。ヘラヘラ過ぎないか？

全体を組立ててみるとこんな感じ。やはり足はヘラヘラすぎるだろう。

So I re-made the legs with 1mm thick brass strip.

と、いうことで足は１X3の帯板で作りなおした。
