According to the manual the roof to be made by planking like model ship. I thought to follow the instruction, that means plank out the roof after placing all interiors including passenger figures. However I changed my mind. Fixed rood would be too hard to maintain. So I decided the roof detachable.

屋根なんだが、キットでは帆船模型のようにプランキングで作ることになっている。はじめはこの通り作ろうと思っていた。人形なんかも予め全部作りこんで屋根を作るつもりだった。しかし、それは後のことを考えるとあまりにも不便だと思うようになった。気が変わった。屋根を取り外しできるようにしようと思う。

The roof was made from 12mm MDF. The material was cut to the size and carved by a plane.

いつものように屋根はMDFで作ることにした。12mmのMDFを必要な寸法に切り。カンナでカーブを概略出していく。

Then the roof was finished by sanding with a curve template.

その後、テンプレートとヤスリを使って規定のカーブに仕上げる。

I cut out arc parts of the partition panels.

仕切り板の上は切ってしまう。

Cross beams of the passenger compartment are obviously curved as seen at the back. I made straight ones from the blank space of laser-cut material.

客室部の上部横梁は当然オリジナルでは後ろに見えるように屋根に合わせたカーブになっている。余った材料より直線の物を作りなおした。

Cabin parts are temporarily assembled by masking tape and fixed by flowing medium viscosity CA.

運転室部分を組む。マスキングテープで仮止めして中粘度の瞬接を流し込む。

Gaps between panel were filled by CA putty.

派手に隙間ができるので瞬間パテで埋める。
