I reused the headlights made for “gasoline car”. Back of the front headlight is quite visible. So I inserted LED, bent the leads downward, surrounded the leads by 0.75mm styrene and covered them by 0.5mm styrene. The leads are totally hid.

ヘッドライトはガソで作った物を流用しました。前方のものは裏側が見えてしまうので、電球色LEDを挿入した後脚を曲げて、下に出します。その周りを0.75mmのスチロールで包み、0.5mmのスチロールで塞げば脚は全く見えなくなります。

I made headlight-mounting brackets from 0.3X1.5mm brass strip. I filed a bit at the points the strips were bent and soldered at inside.

ヘッドライト本体の下には取り付け金具を付けます。これは0.3 X 1.5mm の真鍮帯金から作りました。帯金にやすり目を入れて、鋭角に曲げてから、内側を半田で補強。

I made a headlight mounting plate form 1mm styrene sheet and 1X1 mm styrene rods. Headlight brackets were fixed to this by CA. The headlight itself was fixed by an M2 screw.

ヘッドライト取り付け板は1mm厚1X1mmスチロール角材で作ります。これに上記の金具を接着。ヘッドライト本体はM2のねじ止めとしました。

出来上がったヘッドライトユニットです。

The new headlight seems like this. The root of the stack does not seem so nice with this unit. However modification to make this nice would be too much. So I would make a compromise.

まあ、こんな風になるわけですが、煙突の付け根周りがあまり面白くないなー。ちゃんと作りかえるのはかなり大変そうだし、できるだけ楽して改造すると言う当初の方針に反するので、このまま行く事にします。

後部のヘッドライトの取り付けはガソと同じ方法にしました。取り付け金物を同様に作って。

New headlight seems like this. I filled up redundant holes with CA putty. The original lamp socket is reused for new LED lamp.

こんな感じになります。オリジナルのライトの取り付け穴は瞬間パテで埋めてあります。LEDの接続はオリジナルの電球用ソケットをそのまま利用します。

Two rivets behind the original headlight were omitted. I need add them by making them from 1.6mm styrene rod.

オリジナルのライトの裏にあたるところのリベットがモールドされていません。2mmのスチロール棒を1.6mmに削った物を埋め込んで追加しました。
