量産品の塗装は依然と同様に完了。床板になるバルサを大量に切り出します。

I used wire brush for power tool to roughen the ends of planks. I chucked it on the drill press.

バルサの端面を荒らすのは、今回、電動用のワイヤブラシをボール盤につけて行いました

使用前、使用後です。

It was too messy to paint them by brushes. So I made up plenty of diluted colour and soaked planks in it.

塗装は筆塗りなんか面倒くさいので、大量に作った色染め液にどぶ漬けにしました。

After the colour drying, set the planking to the frame. I employed different way from first one.

バルサが乾いたら、瞬接で本体に貼り付けます。貼り方を一両目の物と少し変えました。

I grooved the planks at the side posts, but this way was so messy. In this case I simply made narrow planks at the side posts.

一両目は側面の柱の部分の板には矢印の様に切り込みを入れたんですが、面倒臭い。そこで、柱の部分の板だけ狭くするという姑息な手段に出ました。

Side planking was also finished.

側板も同様にして完了。

Mass produced.I found a problem at this stage. The CA I used whitened. It was almost impossible to remove.

ここで大問題が。今回使った瞬接がよくなかったのかあちこちで瞬接が白化してしまった。

To cover whitened part I dry brushed “LIQUITEX GOUACHE”. Surface of the whitened parts were rough and caught the dry brush quite well.

対策はリキテックスガッシュで適当に似た色を作りドライブラシ。白化した部分はざらざらしているのでドライブラシがよく乗ります。目立たなくなりました。
