I use 2.5mm balsa as floor planks, and 2mm balsa as sidewall planks. After cutting out the material both ends of planks are roughened by a rotary tool with wire brush. I coloured them with mix of black, yellow ochre and burnt umber of diluted Woodland Scenics Earth Color.

床板は2.5mm、側板は2mmのバルサで作ります。切り出した後、木端をロータリーツールのワイヤーブラシで荒らしておきます。塗装は木の感じを生かすためWoodland ScenicsのEarth Colorの黒、イエローオーカー、バーントアンバーを適当に混ぜて小汚い色を作り薄めた物を塗りました。

Floor is planked.

床板を張り。

Sidewall planks are added. I like the texture of balsa wood very much. It would be impossible to have such texture with plastic.

側板を張ります。バルサの質感がとてもいいです。プラスティックではとてもでないと思います。

Steel band parts are attached to double-sided tape, and excess tape is cut.

側板を支柱に固定している帯金の裏に両面テープを貼り付け。周りを切って、、、

Remove back paper and temporary stuck them on baking sheet.

オーブンペーパーに仮止めしておきます。

Apply the primer and Tamiya colour.

オーブンペーパーごとプライマーを吹きつけ、さらにタミヤカラーで仕上げ。

Stick steel bands to the planking. The steel bands have double-sided tape already attached. So it is quite easy. It would be better to use double-sided tape even to fix the planking to the poles.

塗装完了した帯金を側板に張って行きます。すでに裏に両面テープがついているのでとても簡単です。板自体の本体への取り付けも瞬接より両面テープの方がいいかもしれません。
