Schneebergbahn is an Apt-system mountain-climbing railway similar to famous Schafbergbahn.
When we visited Puchberg station where Schneebergbahn starts the weather was not so good. We asked about the operation of nostalgic train (with steam loco) to Schneeberg (Mount Schnee). Even the train was listed on the timetable, they said the operation of the nostalgic train was cancelled because of bad weather. I was so disappointed.

シュネーベルク鉄道は有名なシャーフベルク鉄道と同様なアプト式の登山鉄道です。
私が訪れたときはあまり天気がよくありませんでした。蒸気機関車によるノスタルジー列車というのがパンフレットにあったので、運転しているはずの土曜日に行ってみました。ところが出発駅のプフブルク駅に着いて聞いてみると今日は天気が悪いのでキャンセルだということでした。

Diesel train named “Salamander” was operating. I was not interested to have a ride of diesel train and the view from the top of the mountain was not expected under such weather. So gave up the ride.

サラマンダーというディーゼル列車は運転していました。天気もよくなくて山頂からの眺めも期待できません。別にディーゼル列車なんかには乗りたくもないので駅の周りで写真を撮って帰ってきました。

There was a static display of old steam engine. This is the same type as Schafbergbahn.

静態保存の機関車。Schafbergbahnで使われているのと同じ物です。

The sleepers are made of steel.
