In about 15 minutes the train arrives to Waiuku, the end of the line. The loco need change her position. １５分ほどで、終点のWaiukuにつきました。汽缶車の付け替えです。なぜか左に竹林がありますね。 |

On return trip I had a ride of open carriage and enjoyed open air travel. But the ride of the carriage was quite rough. I had a look at the trucks afterwards and found they were arch-bar type. These trucks were designed for freight use not for passengers. So rough ride is understandable. 帰りは、こんな無蓋客車に乗ってみました。とても気持ちいいんですが。乗りごごちはひどいです。レールの継ぎ目でガンガン突き上げてきます。後で下をのぞいたら、案の定、ベッテンドルフまがいのアーチバー台車でした。長物車と改造したものだったんですね。 |

The train stopped at water tower to add water to the engine. 途中、給水塔以外何もないところで停車し、給水をしました。 |

After departure of trains you can have a ride to this. I was not enthusiastic enough to push bars under hot weather. 列車が行ってしまうと駅の構内でこんなものにも乗れます。暑かったので乗る気は失せましたが。 |
