I was invited by my friend to join a steam up of a club “Rails in the Garden”. The club features 32mm and 45mm small scale live steam. They have steam up regularly at a place about one hour drive south from Sydney. The sequence shown is assembly of indoor layout. The layout is portable by a small trailer.

友人に誘われてちょっと変わった運転会に行ってきました。Rails in the Garden という、45mmと32mmゲージの小型ライブスティームのクラブです。シドニーから南に1時間ちょっとのところで定期的に運転会を開いているようです。この運転会が面白い。モジュールレイアウトを室内に組み立てます。このレイアウト、トレーラー一台にきっちりおさまりどこにでも持って行けるようです。

I could run my diesel loco while club members were busy on steam up.

皆さんが蒸気を上げている間に私のDLを運転させていただきました。

Locos from Roundhouse were popular there. However I saw some scratch built ones. Realy I would like to build this by myself.

Roundhouse製などが多いのですが、この汽缶車のようにフルスクラッチのものもありました。これ自分で作ってみたいなー。
