I started from making of load springs. This was the first time for me to make multiple leaf springs. I had to confirm the calculation was right.

I had to cut out 3mm wide strips from t0.3 phosphor bronze sheet. I used to use snips, but was not accurate and strips cut out were deformed. So I tried parallel scriber. I scribed several times from both sides.

まずは担いバネから作ることにした。重ね板バネは初めて作るので、計算通りにできるか確認しなければならない。

0.3mmの燐青銅板を3mm幅に切らなければならない。以前は金切りバサミを使っていたが精度がでないし、切り出した帯が曲がってしまうのでいい方法ではない。プラ罫引きで切り出してみた。両側から数回切り込みを入れる。

It was twisted a couple of times on a vice.

バイスにはさんで数回こじれば、

The strip was easily broken apart.

きれいに折れる。歪みもなく、精度もいい。

Burs were removed.

ヤスリ、スコッチ・ブライトでバリを取る。

Bent to the radius.

規定の径に曲げる。

Mounting holds were drilled and the strips were cut out to the sizes.

穴あけして既定の長さに切断。穴あけはピンバイスで行った。

出来上がった板バネ。

They were assembled temporarily. The head of the screw was adjusted 1mm lower than both ends.

仮組み。矢印の部分が両端より1mm凹むように調整。

The load force was measured by a kitchen scale. The spring constant was about 650g/mm. Very close to the calculation.

真ん中のビスが秤に触れるまで押し、力を測定。やく650gであった。おー、ほぼ計算通りではないか。
